This site is intended to share information about the unique requirements for the design and construction of indoor pool buildings. Anyone planning the design and construction of an indoor pool must understand that standard building construction techniques are not acceptable for an indoor pool.  The environmental consequences of the pool water evaporation present a unique design challenge, requiring highly specialized materials and methods of construction. Jon Evans was the architect for a large indoor pool addition to an 18th Century home in New England.  Having learned a great deal about the complexities of indoor pool design and construction, he would like to share that information with others planning to build an indoor pool.
